Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will lead consulting engagements with client staff to understand their complex business needs and translate those needs to documented business requirements. They will be responsible for bringing those requirements back and working with the product group to determine how the system can be configured or altered to meet them.
- During those engagements, the Business Analyst will respond to questions and influence the client regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs. They will conduct research and analysis into the nature, effect and results of system problems. The Analyst will also develop detailed business user requirements, system documentation, workflow procedures, and data modeling. From a project management perspective, the Analyst will negotiate plans, time frames and trade-offs while ensuring the client understands the final results of the project.
- After scope has been established, the analyst will be the gatekeeper of the change request process, reviewing requested system changes and developing detailed specifications for implementation. They will then communicate system changes, costs and schedule impact to all levels of both the client and internal organizations.
- The analyst will ensure current and accurate system documentation, coordinates and or performs testing of system modifications, and develops, provides, or coordinates system training, educational tools and materials.
