Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a quantifiable record of success in Technology sales, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals. You will have a solution-based approach to solving customer requirements and an understanding of complex sales cycles, building consensus throughout multiple levels of organizations, and be adept at developing relationships at executive levels. The ability to prospect and manage the territory, as well as develop new business in competitive situations, is essential.
Top candidates will possess:
- A proven record of success in sales and customer relationship management
- “Hunting” skills – talent and drive to penetrate new accounts
- Creativity in their sales approach
- The ability to thrive and lead in an unstructured ‘startup’ environment
- An undergraduate degree and a minimum of 7-10 years of proven sales experience in technology based products
- Positive references, both customer and employer
Other beneficial experience would include:
- Previous exposure to the higher education industry
- Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with business partners
- Demonstrated sales of multi-brand complex solutions
- Proven success in selling to Line-of-Business executive customers
- Must possess excellent skill-sets in the following areas: time/territory management, prospecting, and verbal/written communication
Responsibilities
This key face-to-face Account Executive role will drive revenue and signings growth for Destiny in the Higher Education marketplace.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Identifying, qualifying and closing new opportunities
- Establishing strong and lasting customer relationships
- Leveraging marketing initiatives to drive new business
- Creatively finding ways to drive new business while teaming with inside and pre-sales resources, and external business partners
- Driving an aggressive annual signings target, and managing the territory sales funnel and strategy execution
- Demonstrating a passionate drive for success and a strong competitive will to win
- Establishing a focused external approach, to maximize face time with customers
This Account Executive position will be responsible for a territory which will reside within North America. The candidate’s geographic location is flexible.
